Hi! Today I'm going to show you guys how to do the perfect red lips. The first thing you'll going to wanna do is make sure your lips are really smooth and conditioned. So I'm going to use my lip conditioner, just get a bit on there, let it soak in for a minute, then wipe it away. You don't want it to be like, wet. You don't want to be able to feel it your just need to make sure your lips are conditioned. It's good to exfoliate your lips first if they're all dry and chapped and stuff to make sure they're smooth. Ok, that's good.
So then the next step would be to prime your lips. Next we're going to line your lips. For red lips I'm using a cream stick instead of regular lip liner because it's going to last longer, it's going to be creamier, it's going to blend easier, it's going to keep it from feathering (if you don't know what feathering is, it's like seeping out of your lip line).
I'm actually going to fill in my lip with my pencil to help it last longer. Oh and the liner than I'm using, it's called red enriched- it's a MAC cream liner. When you're lining or filling in your lips, make sure you open your mouth and get right in the corners 'cause those can be easy to miss and you can see it when you talk.
Ok then, the next thing would be to get your lip color, I'm going to be using my MAC teen color. It's called Classic Dame, but Ruby Woo or Russian Red or anything like that works really well.
To make this really precise I'm going to be using a lip brush. So I'm just going to get some product on there, then just brush it on. This is a little bit more precise that just putting it on straight from the tube.
Ok the next thing would be to add a gloss (if you want a gloss), or not if you just want it to be without a gloss and keep it matt. I'm going to be using this, it's called Pure Vanity. You can use a red gloss or a clear gloss. I'm just going to pop a little bit of this in the center just to give it a little bit of shine.
The last step will be getting a small brush, like this- this is the 231, and then a concealer. If you have a stick concealer that works well. I'm just going to be using this Studio Finish concealer. I'm just going to get a little bit and just go around the outside of my lip line. This is going to make the lips just "pop", as well as stopping it feathering out. It's going to make your lip look even more defined. It also helps to fix it if you got some over the lines. It's easy to fix. Then just blend that out.
That's basically all you need to do for the perfect red lip, you can also use different colors if you want a less intense red lip. Just make sure that you line and that your lips are nice and smooth, then everything's all good!
