Have you ever timed your laptop battery to see how long it lasts after each charge? Have you had the opportunity to see how many years one particular battery can last you? Well, on average a laptop battery should last anywhere between 3 and 5 years. But how long each person’s battery lasts depends on how they use it as well as there are technical factors that affect the longevity.

You can change this for day and night use according to the amount of light you have in the room. It is easy to adjust with just the touch of two buttons, which two varies from laptop to laptop.
- As your laptop heats, the battery consumption increases. To avoid this, you can get an external fan or whenever possible work in a cool environment; close to an AC vent or window or door with natural air from outside. If you cannot do any of the above, you can turn the computer off for a while and allow it to cool before continuing your work.
Following these simple tips can allow you to prolong the life of your laptop battery.
