Is it time to replace your old faithful Nokia N95?
These days there are many cash-for-your-old-phone websites popping up not to mention selling your phone on eBay.
If you are selling or trading-in your old Nokia N95 you’ll want to make sure that your phone has been reset to factory settings and that all of your personal information has been deleted properly. It can be difficult to find out how to do this properly so here’s a guide to explain how.
1. Firstly you’ll want to delete all your data such as music, photos, files etc. Connect your N95 to your computer and select “Mass storage” on the phone menu that pops up.
2. Go to “My Computer” on your PC and format the phone (FAT format) to erase all data. (it will appear as a disk drive)
3. Disconnect the phone from your computer
4. The next step is to reset the phone to it’s factory settings. Type the following into your phone-
*#7370#5. It will now prompt you for a lock code, Which by default is:
123456. The phone is now reset and safe to send on to it’s new home!
